Elite Karate Association was founded in 1986 by Dr Josh Johnson 'Hachidan' (Master), a pioneer for the development of karate in Wolverhampton. Today, EKA is a thriving association which looks after the interests of around 300 students and instructors within 6 dojo's. Whilst many of the EKA clubs are situated around the West Midlands, courses are held for students throughout England and Wales. EKA has produced students who have gone on to become World, European and English Champions. EKA is a member of the English Karate Governing Body and Federation of English Karate Organizations body for Karate in the UK, which is recognized by the UK Sports Council. EKA is also licensed to operate nationally recognized coaching schemes, offering a comprehensive programme and services for prospective and existing instructors. All Elite Karate Associations Instructors hold EKA qualifications and a First Aid Certificate. An active 'Karate for all' policy is promoted throughout all EKA clubs. Our student base comprises of all ages and abilities. |
